Human beings are on the verge of an evolutionary leap, but this time there is a major difference from the past. We have evolved to the point where we can direct our own evolution.

This is transhumanism, preparing for a posthuman future through technology.

Genetic enhancement, cyborgism, interfacing with a neural net, millions of nanobots that seek out and destroy any cancer cell or virus and keep any internal systems in prime working order, functional immortality.

The singularity is fast approaching. Our knowledge is growing exponentially in so many related fields, each new discovery pushing the boundaries farther and farther. The next 20 years will see an explosion of technologic advancement greater than the previous 200, and the decade after that will be even greater.
