Discarding Your Body

Marshall Brain, the founder of the brilliant site How Stuff Works and the excellent rationalist sites God Is Imaginary and Why Won’t God Heal Amputees? has an essay entitled The Day You Discard Your Body available on his website.

One may quibble with his particular technological vision, but the premise is sound. Personally, I think we’ll discard our meat bodies for more powerful and durable synthetic ones. Still, it’s a good read, and I highly recommend it.
